The "TO THE TOP" quilting group makes handmade quilts
for various veteran's residences to keep the memory alive of a
young soldier killed in Afghanistan at age 19.
The project began on Oct.15,2003 as a way to give back to a
community that gave their all and then some in our time of
need ,and also provided a focus to channel alot of grief.
It has accomplished both goals amazingly well!
To date(03/08/05) 372 twin sized bed quilts have been made and
distributed to several cities and towns throughout Mass. and
NH. Below is the label titled "Welcome Home Soldier" that is
sewn to the back of every quilt we give to a veteran.
Speaking with Evan the day before he died a strong message
came thru loud and clear that it was very dark and very cold
at night in Afghanistan. My goal is that no veteran will ever be
cold again. If you'd like to help us please visit:
